Crevice Garden

Kenton Seth, Colorado, USA crevice gardening guru, helped enthusiastic  society members build an extensive crevice garden. Taking the world by storm, crevice gardens are, after creation and with somewhat careful plant selection, very low maintenance and low water requiring gardens.

The garden was a collaborative, celebratory work and being part of the historic Botanic rock gardens (originally laid out in 1939), we were given access to beautiful Halswell Quarry Stone. With the exquisitely coloured and shaped slabs art was made. The planting will be started in earnest in Autumn, the cushions and alpine plants will revel in their new environment.
